Never date or marry this kind of person if you want to be successful

by Dr Boyce Watkins

Never date or marry a person who only supports your dreams when everything is going right. Some people don’t have the ability to stomach the uncertainty that occurs when things are going wrong. So, rather than encourage you to endure the tough times, this person is the one who plants seeds of doubt:

Instead of saying, “You’ll make it through this,” they say, “I told you so.”

Instead of saying, “We can do this,” they say, “You’re doing too much.”

Instead of saying, “Don’t worry, we can go without,” they say, “It’s your fault that we’re broke.”

Instead of saying, “Let’s put in long hours together,” they say, “I hate the fact that you work so much.”

People like that don’t have the vision for building, nor the strength to persevere. They are better off working regular jobs, living regular lives, and growing old in the comfort of their mediocrity.

If you’re going to take risks in your life, you need a warrior by your side.

Most rainbows of success only occur AFTER you’ve endured the storm, and some people just don’t like getting wet.
