92-year old grandmother kicked out of church for not tithing. Her family speaks out

How many years do you have to support a church before you are allowed to be a lifelong member? How old does one have to be before the alleged “men of God” running the church make the decision to give you a pass? These are some of the questions that are being asked by those who are wondering why 92-year old Josephine King had her church membership rescinded for what the church calls “non-support in the areas of constant and consistent financial and physical participation with church activities and functions.”

As one might expect, Ms King isn’t as young as she used to be, and can’t quite run around like the people half her age. She is also not a rich woman, given that she no longer works. So, her friends and relatives are outraged by her treatment by the church.

The letter was sent by Derrick Mike, Senior Pastor/Teacher at the First African Baptist Church in Bainbridge Georgia. Ms King’s grand niece speaks with Dr Roosevelt Mitchell III from Your Black World News
