Dr. Sinclair N. Grey III – 4 Things Every Entrepreneur Should Do Throughout The Day

Entrepreneurs deal with stress everyday. From the beginning of the day until it’s time to retire for the night, every entrepreneur has to manage his/her time wisely. Without proper time management, tasks will be ignored, deals will be forgotten, and work will be compromised. That’s why it’s important for every entrepreneur to begin their day with a task and purpose.

Unless there’s a task and purpose, it’s easy to get off course. Spending too much time on social media being social will rob you of what’s important – running a business. I cannot stress enough that social media, if not done correctly, will ruin you. Let’s be honest for a moment and say it’s easy to get distracted reading posts that make no sense whatsoever. If it’s not reading the many posts, it’s watching videos that add no value and no substance to your business.

Making your business grow requires you to be disciplined. Through discipline, you’re able to remain focused on what matters. Yes, you may have some unforeseen obstacles that pop up, but if you prepare yourself at the beginning of the day, you will be far better off than someone who simply wings it.

Here’s what you can do to stay focused:

  1. Get up early in the morning to clear your mind. Whether it’s through exercising, praying, meditating, or going for a walk just to name a few things, make sure you begin your day focusing on personal development and not your business

  2. Write down what you want to accomplish. Make a daily list of everything that needs to be done and hold yourself accountable. Look at the list throughout the day so you can remain focused

  3. Limit the number of personal calls you make and receive throughout the work day. Remember you’re in business to make money, to provide a service, or to sell a product. You cannot get distracted with calls that take you away from your purpose

  4. Always plan. Those who fail to plan, fail to achieve. As an entrepreneur, you are responsible for YOU. If you want to be the best, you have to constantly plan to be the best. Never become satisfied and/or comfortable with where you are.

Entrepreneurship is like no other profession. It’s hard. It’s challenging. It’s rewarding. Everyone can’t handle it but for those who are serious about their calling of being self-employed, they have to do what’s necessary to make things happen. Time is valuable and those who use it as well as maximize it will reap benefits and rewards.
