Car manufacturers are competing to produce the best and most efficient electric cars. Chevrolet’s 2017 Bolt EV, for example, has been hailed for its ability to travel further than its peers on one charge, delivering a clean 238 miles. If you’re contemplating a better lifestyle and a way to save money over a long term period, ensure you purchase an electric car in your next purchase.
“Yes, consumers are looking to help the green mission, but people who will purchase a pure electric vehicle like the Bolt EV are very conscious about being efficient with their time and their money,” Kathy Beslic, Advertising and Marketing Manager, Chevrolet Electric Vehicles, told BlackEnterprise.com. “You just plug the vehicle in at night and by morning you are ready to go. You don’t have to stop at a gas station. I think overall that this vehicle will surprise many people in the fact you will save money. There is virtually minimal maintenance—you just need to get your tires rotated and your brakes checked. There is no engine, no oil change.”
With the Bolt EV, you save money and time. The car will go on sale later in the year for $37,495. Those making the purchase will enjoy $7,500 in tax credit. You’ll need to spend an additional $500 to grab a 240 volt, 30 amps charging unit, which is more like delivering a gas station at home. You’ll easily plug it in just like you plug in your cell phone to charge.
“Chevrolet showed the world the production version Bolt EV earlier this year and in a few short months we’ve moved from that vision to a reality,” says GM North America President Alan Batey.
Even though the car has limited exterior footprint, it provides users with ample head and legroom, luggage space and safety tips.
“While range is important, we knew Bolt EV owners would want more—more space and more power,” added Josh Tavel, Bolt EV Chief Engineer.
Detroit, Chevrolet was founded back in 1911 and it’s grown to rank among the world’s largest and most preferred car brands. The company is currently selling more than 4 million cars and trucks every year and is doing business in over 155 countries spread across different continents.
When Bolt EV finally hits the market later in the year, Chevrolet shall have provided options to address any customer’s needs, whether the customer prefers the wholly electric Bolt EV, the Chevrolet Volt or the Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid.
